Insurance Verification Specialist

Rekruuto, a premier growth assistant agency, seeks a skilled Insurance Verification Specialist to join our client’s team. You will report under the general direction of the VP of Operations, the Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day benefit verification as assigned while meeting daily and weekly productivity goals

US business hours following EST and on a fulltime hours.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for obtaining benefit information on patient’s health insurance for specific services rendered by the client.
• Responsible for consolidating and effectively communication benefit information received in Mozzaz and EMR.
• Daily navigation of payor portals to obtain benefit information as assigned.
• Provides day-to-day communication with insurance companies via phone when necessary as well as to the client’s team members on processing Benefit Verifications.
• Conducts daily monitoring of employee production to ensure teams meet or exceed performance standards.
• Escalates issues as appropriate to Supervisor under prescribed protocols.
• Proactively identifies benefit issues and communicates immediately to their supervisor.
• Maintains positive rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• Performs related duties as assigned, including benefit verifications

Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and insurance companies by phone and written communication.
• Must be proficient in payor portal usage.
• Must be proficient in Excel.
• Must be proficient in EPIC and/or Nextgen – Professional Billing Module
• Proven three (3) years working with insurance companies and understanding coverage and policies.
